Time to Sheath the 'Sword'

Elections are over and the dye had been cast, one would think it is high time we shifted focus on drawing up a roadmap towards good governance to at least give the anxious electorates a glimmer of hope and a promise of greater things to come, but sadly the reverse has been the case as the incessant standoffs between the ruling party and the oppositions threatens the promise of change and our unity as a nation.
The presence of a strong opposition to check and make constructive criticisms of the ruling party is a trademark of a democratic dispensation, but the clog in the wheel is when such criticisms are made out of prejudice, malice and overzealousness on the part of the opposition.
The journey towards greatness in itself can only be achieved when the incumbent and the opposition are able to set aside their differences and partisan interests in order to set this nation on its deserving great pedestal.
It would also be serving to make a point of note to the ruling government that it's party isn't the mouthpiece of the presidency and as such all criticisms of government policies and decisions should not be seen as a skirmish between members of the ruling party and the opposition. For once let's do something in the interest of our great country.
